As someone who has learned French as a second language, I understand that it is a complex task. With my background and education I am well-versed in the world of learning a second language. At this point in my degree, I have had the opportunity to complete a practicum and apply what I’ve learned in my studies to the classroom.

Hello! My name is Miss Emily. I’ve spoken French since I was five years old when I was enrolled in a French immersion program. From here I completed the rest of my education in French all the way up to university! My degree of study is Elementary Education specializing in learning French as a second language as I did. I am working on my generalist major in education and a minor in humanities. I am able to help with your child’s beyond French Language Arts, including math, science, social studies, and English Language Arts.
Why take my lessons? I believe in an integrated approach to literacy. Speaking, reading, writing, and listening are all connected. We cannot have one without the other. This is very important for children learning French as a second, third or maybe even fourth language!
