About Linette
Violinists often arrive at my studio with bad habits that were never corrected at the start. I admit that I am somewhat obsessive about the way a student holds their instrument during those initial formative weeks.
My life has revolved around music since I was a small child, and this dedication led me to earn an Artist Diploma from the Manhattan School of Music. Working with 113 students over 7 years has taught me that left hand agility and bowing technique are non-negotiable. We will improve your posture and hold until they feel natural.
I find that mastery of vibrato and shifting positions is where the most progress happens. I look forward to seeing your musical growth.

A typical lesson feels like a focused exploration of sound rather than just a series of repetitive drills, because I find that rote practice without curiosity leads to stagnation. We incorporate weekly practice modules assigned with every class to ensure you maintain momentum throughout the week while focusing on the subtle nuances of tone production and sight reading. Because I hold an Artist Diploma from the Manhattan School of Music, I emphasize the importance of mastering scales and arpeggios as the backbone of your artistic development.
