About Dana

I have worked with students with Special Needs for 13 years. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education and a Master's Degree in Psychology. I love working with Special Needs students with all different ability levels. I enjoy connecting with students and establishing a relationship with them. I also helping them engage in skills that they thought they couldn't do.

About the lesson

I make lessons fun by incorporating games when applicable, as well as helping students see the real world application of skills. I use the teaching cycle of I do, we do, you do. During these steps I am monitoring for retention of skills and remediate as needed. I am very comfortable teaching K-9th grades. I use to teach middle school English and all subject areas for elementary school students.
