About Mary-Alice
Over the years have received a degree in Fine Arts, from Queens University in Kingston, and several certificates from John Abbott College (Web Technology AEC), and Dawson College (Advanced WordPress) in Montreal. I have been teaching WordPress for several years now, and it is exciting to help someone attain the skills to be confident in creating and maintaining a blog or website of their own. I am passionate about the work I do as a web developer, and I love to combine my training in design with my understanding of technology. Helping others gain those skills is one of the most rewarding aspects of what I do.

The first lesson is always FREE and will determine the student's level of experience to establish a starting point. It is also an opportunity for the student to evaluate me and decide if we are a good fit! I will take students from absolute beginner to intermediate level. A typical lesson is an hour long, and I prefer to work on a webcam platform, so that I can share my screen with my students and show them what I am teaching, as well as tell them. I have taught courses in WordPress in a formal setting with a set curriculum, but prefer to coach individuals at their own pace. I find that my students progress more swiftly and retain more when I work on a one-to-one basis. These lessons are for anyone who wants to be able to eventually create and maintain a blog or a website using WordPress. I am a native English speaker and have a conversational level of Quebecois French.
