About Shanelle
Outside of teaching, I enjoy singing and reading. These interests also play a role in my teaching style, as I love to incorporate songs to help students engage with concepts. I also prioritize setting clear expectations and adapting to the individual needs of each learner to ensure that our online sessions are effective and productive. Hi my name is Shanelle and I am excited to start this learning journey with you! I have been teaching for 5 years, specializing in 4th grade ELA. I have had the pleasure of teaching in Baltimore, Maryland and I hold a Masters of Science in Education and Bachelors of Science in Childhood Education.
In addition to my degrees, I am also a certified Standard Professional Educator in Elementary Education (grades 1-6) and Special Education (grades 1-8). I am dedicated to making online learning fun and engaging for my young learners. I use a variety of strategies, such as incorporating visuals and interactive platforms like Nearpod, to keep kids excited about learning.
