My teaching method is to first analyse the student's understanding, because every student has a different way to learn and so there is a different way to teach every student. I start from the basics and then move to the higher level after getting assured that the student has been able to grab all the knowledge imparted by me.

  • What motivates you to teach & why?

It's my passion to spread the knowledge that I possess. My confidence on what I teach and the energy that I get on seeing the satisfaction on my students face is all that keeps me going. Unlike others I get motivated to teach in an even better manner if the student is not able to understand easily, rather than getting demotivated such a situation.
  • When did you start developing an interest in your subject area?

When I opted for commerce in class 11th, from then my interest totally got concentrated in the commerce field, Economics being one of the most favourite. I researched and studied about economics even more than that was in my syllabus. My interest in Economics has led me to keep learning and teaching it more and more ever since.
  • If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

My Economics Teacher till 12th standard, Mrs.Ahmed is my role model. I admired her professional behaviour while she taught and still she was able to connect to each student. From her I learned that there is a different way to reach out to every student and it can be done perfectly if one stays professional and tries to understand the learning ability of every student.
  • What is the biggest obstacle you had to overcome in mastering your craft?

The biggest obstacle that I had to overcome in mastering my art was time management, because time management is required for a teacher as much as it is required for a student. Because I'm currently both, it was my biggest obstacle to manage my own studies and then be prepared to give my best as a teacher as well. But eventually I overcame that and now I'm able to manage everything perfectly.
  • In your opinion, what makes someone excel in your subject area?

In order to excel in Economics one needs to connect to the subject. Some people think that Economics is all about mugging up which is totally wrong and it's something that one should never do with Economics or one will never be able to excel in it. One needs to understand the concept of every topic and try to understand it graphically if possible because if a topic is understood graphically then one will never ever forget the concept of it.
  • What would you say to a student who says, "This is too difficult, I give up!"?

I would tell that student that the method which he/she chose to learn could be difficult, but, if someone starts learning in a way which suits them the best then nothing is difficult. I'll try to understand the facts which are making the student feel that the subject is difficult and accordingly I'll try to make him/her learn in a way in which he/she will not see Economics as a subject but as something to which he/she will be able to connect and will be able to keep in mind even without trying to mug it up.
  • How does someone become a Super Prof?

If a teacher is able to connect with the student and is able to understand the mindset, the studying pattern of the student and the learning ability of the student, to teach in a way that makes the subject fun to learn for the student rather than a burden, then only a teacher can be a super prof.
