About Christiaan
I was born and bred in South Africa. In 1974 I completed a four-year course in Forest Management from the Saasveld Forestry College, now part of the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. In 1987 I completed a B.A. degree at the University of South Africa. I studied Biblical Hebrew at the same university. I visited the Holy Land several times, first as a Christian pilgrim, and later to study the wild birds of the region. In 2002 I moved to China and continued presenting Biblical Hebrew classes there. In 2016 I moved to Vietnam.

In my lessons, we stay close to the original text at all times. I use the self-study textbooks that I published, so there is no need for extensive resource research. I feel it is most important to determine the current level of a student, and then take it from there.
