About Valerie

Hello! I am a passionate educator and have been for 7 years. I have a background in Early Childhood Education and I have also been a private tutor for the past 7 years. I specialize in helping young learners develop strong reading skills, build their confidence and help them develop a love for reading.

About the lesson

I like to focus on reading strategies and sometimes that may look like relating what we are doing to real-life scenarios. Reading is meant to be fun and it's something to bring to life. A typical lesson may look like creating a rhyming song or figuring out the story before we read it.
