About Katie

I am a current Harvard student who has been helping high schoolers get into their dream schools for the past two application seasons. I graduated from my high school as valedictorian, with departmental awards in Math & Science, Liberal Arts, and Performing Arts, and the overall award for outstanding senior. Meanwhile, I maintained a rigorous extracurricular profile, scored a 36 on the ACT and 5s on seven different AP tests, and engaged in meaningful volunteer work. I worked smarter, not harder, to achieve my goals, and want to help others do the same. My passion and talent is taking everything a student has to offer and packaging it in a tangible form to take the stress and guesswork out of the application process.

About the lesson

Counseling sessions might involve strategic course selection, finding extracurricular opportunities, tutoring, exploring colleges, and brainstorming personal statements and supplemental essays. I believe students will end up at the right school for them if they can showcase their potential. This means turning passions into projects, translating a love of learning into high test scores, and writing essays that get to the core of who they are.

Students I've coached have gained admission to many selective colleges and universities, including but not limited to: Northeastern University, UC Berkeley, UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara, Boston University (Questrom School of Business and College of General Studies), Emerson College, George Washington University, and the University of Wisconsin Madison.
