About Harpreet

I am an experienced Mobile Application Developer with 15+ years of IT experience, including working with leading FAANG companies in the US and Canada. I specialize in iOS development using Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and Objective-C. I have also worked as a Lecturer, teaching Computer Engineering students and helping them build strong programming and software development fundamentals. I combine real-world industry experience with practical teaching to help students learn, build, and solve problems with confidence.

About the lesson

I believe the best way to learn mobile application development is by combining strong fundamentals with hands-on practice. My teaching approach is practical, structured, and tailored to each student's current skill level and learning goals.

I explain concepts in simple terms first, then demonstrate them through real coding examples. Students get opportunities to write code themselves, build small features, troubleshoot errors, and gradually develop complete applications. I focus not only on making the code work, but also on helping students understand why a particular approach is used and how to write clean, maintainable code.

A typical lesson

A typical lesson begins with a quick review of the previous topic and an understanding of what the student wants to accomplish in the session.

We then introduce or review the main concept, followed by a practical coding demonstration. The student works through an exercise with my guidance, and we troubleshoot any issues together. Toward the end, we review the code, discuss best practices, and identify what the student should practice before the next lesson.

For example, a SwiftUI lesson might start with understanding a concept such as (concealed information) and (concealed information) followed by building a small interactive screen. We would then improve the implementation, discuss why the solution works, and gradually introduce related concepts.
