About Samridh Vikhas

I build data systems for a living. At a manufacturing company in Madurai I've built automated reporting pipelines in Python, SQL queries running against live production databases, styled Excel reports that generate and email themselves every morning before the sales team logs in, and web dashboards that people open before their first meeting of the day. These aren't portfolio projects — colleagues depend on them, and they break in public when I get something wrong.

That's the perspective I teach from. There's a wide gap between knowing pandas syntax and being able to open a messy file you've never seen before and produce something a manager will act on. Most courses teach the first thoroughly and leave you to work out the second alone. The second is the part that actually gets people hired.

I've tutored math, statistics and programming since my undergraduate years — first through SuperProf, later as a Chegg subject matter expert in probability and statistics, where the volume of student problems taught me quickly where people get stuck and why. Twelve students so far, and I teach in English, Hindi and Tamil.

About the lesson

I don't teach programming from a textbook. I build automated data pipelines and dashboards at work, and I teach the same workflow — messy data in, working system out.

What we can cover:

Python — from first principles through pandas, NumPy, data cleaning, automation, and generating formatted Excel reports
R — data manipulation, statistical analysis, ggplot2 visualisation
SQL — querying, joins, aggregation, window functions, working against real databases
Data analysis — the full path from a raw file to a conclusion you can defend
BI tools — Power BI and Tableau fundamentals
Decision support and reporting systems — for MCA, MBA and MSc students with DSS in the syllabus, and for anyone who wants to build a working internal reporting tool

How I teach: project-first. You choose a dataset that actually matters to you and we build something real with it across the sessions. Syntax gets learned on the way to something, which is the only way it stays learned. By the end you'll have a working project you can show in an interview instead of a folder of tutorial exercises.

Who this suits: undergraduate and postgraduate students, working professionals moving into analytics, and anyone who has finished three online courses and still can't start from a blank file. That last group is the most common, and it isn't a knowledge problem — it's never having watched someone make the decisions.

I'm also happy to help with university coursework, capstone projects and dissertation analysis where the work is in Python, R or SQL.

Details

My standard rate is ₹1,200 per hour for online classes. No webcam fee, no travel fee, no materials charge. All code, notebooks and notes from every session are yours to keep.

Packages:
5 hours — ₹5,750 (₹1,150 per hour)
10 hours — ₹11,000 (₹1,100 per hour)

The 10-hour package is the one I'd suggest for anyone learning Python or R from scratch, because it's roughly what a complete beginner-to-working-project track takes. Package hours don't expire.

Free first class:
The first hour is free with no obligation. Tell me beforehand where you're starting from and what you want to be able to do, and I'll use the hour to map out a realistic path — including an honest view of how long it will take. If you already know enough to do what you want and just need direction, I'll tell you that instead of selling you sessions.

Payment:
After each session or at the start of a package, by UPI or bank transfer. Reschedules are free with a day's notice.
