About the lesson

He was born in Rio de Janeiro. He studied music theory at Instituto Villa-Lobos, Composição and later Guitar (with Léo Soares and Turíbio Santos) at the Music School of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He also studied Orchestration at the Brazilian School of Music, with Nelson de Macedo, and Harmonia at CIGAM, with Estevão Teixeira and Ian Guest. It has throughout its musical trajectory acted as much in the popular music as in the concert music. He has participated in numerous concerts and recordings, as soloist and accompanist. With the Brazilian String Orchestra he recorded three albums that won three Sharp awards as best instrumental works of the years 1991 and 1992. He edited his first Solo CD in 2002 and has works edited by Lumiar Editora, Edizioni Carrara, La bottega discantica and AVA Editions. He completed the course of classical guitar at the Superior School of Music in Lisbon in July 1999 under the direction of Piñero Nagy and António Gonçalves. In April 2010 he completed his post-graduation (Professionalism in service) in classical guitar and music education at the Open University. He is professor of Classical Guitar and Chamber Music besides acting as arranger and music producer. (concealed information)
