About Galen
With 7 years of teaching experience and a Diploma of Music in Guitar Specialization, I help students thrive in group performance settings. My passion is coaching bands, duos, and acoustic jam groups to play as one tight unit. In my lessons, we use a rehearsal-based method that focuses on listening closely to each other, locking in timing, and building solid arrangements. I guide students in understanding their role within the group, whether it’s rhythm, lead, or blending harmonies. We work on dynamic balance and clear communication, skills that make live performances strong and enjoyable. Many of my students have successfully performed in local gigs, open mics, and school concerts. I create a supportive space where students can overcome stage nerves and enjoy making music with others. Every session is designed to build confidence, teamwork, and musical chemistry. Watching my students grow into confident performers is the most rewarding part of my teaching.
