My son Toby has been having lessons with Lewis since he was 9 and has grown in confidence and skill. Lewis is an enthusiastic, patient and understanding guitar tutor and he has successfully helped him through his grade one examination and is soon to sit his grade two. During lockdown I decided that I should pick up the guitar again but rather than just playing along to some simple songs, I wanted to increase my technical ability and knowledge. I contacted Lewis and arranged a Skype call to discuss what we could do. Lewis gauged my ability and suggested I start at Grade 5 level, which was perfect as it pushed me enough as to not put me off. Due to lockdown the Lessons have been done via Skype which has been excellent. Over the past 12 weeks or so my confidence has increased and I am increasing my technical ability and knowledge around the guitar. Lewis is an excellent tutor and has helped me to reinvigorate my love of playing, so much so that I want to continue with the grades and push myself as far as possible.

Lewis is outstanding, he establishes your current ability level and bases his lessons around that, pushing just enough to see real improvement without it being overkill.

Another important fact to note is Lewis will teach what you want, my goal is to work through the Grades, if that’s not your bag then Lewis will bring you along at a pace suited to you.

I have no hesitation in recommending Lewis and moreover, I look forward to continuing my lessons with Lewis for the foreseeable future.
