About Sona
I earned a Master’s Degree in Guitar Performance and Modern Music Studies after years of focused learning in instrumental performance, composition, and live music interpretation during my academic journey. During the past 9 years, I have guided students from different backgrounds and experience levels, helping them improve through personalised instruction and supportive mentorship. Teaching guitar allows me to combine creativity, communication, and artistic expression in a deeply rewarding way. I enjoy helping learners become more confident musicians through engaging and practical lessons.
My teaching style focuses on adaptability, patience, and balanced musical growth. Some students improve best through structured technical repetition, while others respond more naturally to improvisation and creative exploration. I carefully adjust lessons according to each learner’s confidence level, comfort, and artistic goals. Along with technical development, I help students strengthen rhythm awareness, listening ability, expressive playing, and performance confidence. Building a welcoming and motivating learning atmosphere remains one of my highest priorities as a teacher.
Outside teaching, I continue practising guitar, exploring different musical genres, and studying educational techniques that help keep lessons engaging and inspiring. Music remains an important source of creativity and emotional expression in my life. One of the most fulfilling parts of teaching is seeing students become more expressive and self-assured throughout their musical journey.

My guitar lessons are designed to help students improve technical ability while developing creativity and musical confidence through organised and engaging learning sessions. I teach chord movement, rhythm timing, finger coordination, strumming patterns, improvisation, and tone control using practical exercises that feel approachable for learners at every stage. Lessons also include fingerstyle activities, ear training, solo development, timing drills, and musical interpretation tasks that help students improve steadily through regular practice. I create a welcoming learning atmosphere where students feel comfortable experimenting musically while building strong technical foundations. Every lesson supports both musical growth and artistic individuality together.
Beginners focus on tuning, posture, simple chords, and rhythm counting through patient guidance and structured routines that build healthy playing habits gradually. Intermediate learners improve smoother transitions, expressive control, improvisation ability, and fingerstyle coordination through guided exercises and practical studies. Advanced students strengthen advanced rhythm techniques, performance confidence, solo interpretation, and stage preparation through detailed coaching sessions. I carefully adapt lessons according to each learner’s pace, personality, and musical goals so progress remains balanced and motivating throughout the learning process.
Learning guitar should feel rewarding, creative, and meaningful. I encourage students to appreciate steady improvement while building confidence through supportive feedback and regular practice. Many learners become more expressive and independent as their musical understanding develops naturally over time. My goal is to help students strengthen both technical ability and artistic confidence while building a lasting connection with music.
