About Ruby
My connection with the guitar began through a fascination with how music can inspire, connect, and tell stories. This passion led me to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Music before earning a PhD in Guitar Pedagogy. During my 12 years of teaching experience, I have worked with students pursuing a wide range of musical interests.
I believe successful teaching combines patience, clarity, and adaptability. My teaching style focuses on helping students understand musical concepts while developing practical skills they can apply confidently. I enjoy creating lessons that are engaging, supportive, and goal-oriented.
Outside teaching, I continue performing, studying new repertoire, and exploring different styles of music. These experiences allow me to bring fresh perspectives into my lessons. Helping students discover confidence and enjoyment through guitar remains one of the most fulfilling parts of my profession.

My guitar lessons are designed to help students build strong technical skills while enjoying the creative side of music. We focus on chord mastery, rhythm development, picking accuracy, strumming control, fretboard navigation, and timing through structured exercises and practical musical applications. Every lesson encourages steady improvement and greater confidence.
As learners progress, we explore fingerstyle playing, improvisation techniques, solo construction, tone shaping, ear training, and live performance preparation. Lessons are personalized to match individual interests and learning goals, allowing students to grow at a pace that feels comfortable and productive. Consistent feedback helps learners understand their strengths and refine weaker areas.
I believe learning guitar should be both rewarding and enjoyable. My goal is to help students become independent musicians who can continue growing beyond lessons. Every session supports creativity, discipline, and long-term musical development.
