About Carlos
Fun and engaging guitar lessons for children and beginners (SEN friendly).
I am an experienced and approachable guitar teacher based in West London, specialising in working with children, beginners and students with additional needs (SEN).
My lessons focus on helping each student feel comfortable and confident from the very first session. I know that many children can feel frustrated or lose motivation easily, so I use a patient and flexible approach to make learning enjoyable, achievable and rewarding.
With over 12 years of experience in schools, early years settings and SEN education, I create a calm and supportive environment where every child can learn at their own pace and build confidence through music.
Lessons are structured but fun, combining simple techniques, songs and creative activities to keep students engaged and excited to come back each week.
I also adapt lessons to each student’s musical interests, including pop, rock and Spanish styles, helping them connect with music in a natural way.
Lessons take place at my home or nearby (within 15 minutes). I offer a trial session to get started.

I help children enjoy learning guitar while building confidence from the first lesson.
My lessons are designed to be fun, engaging and adapted to each student, with a strong focus on children, beginners and students with additional needs (SEN).
I specialise in helping students feel comfortable with the guitar from the very beginning, building confidence step by step through simple, achievable goals. Many children can feel frustrated when learning an instrument, so I use a patient and supportive approach to keep them motivated and enjoying the process.
Each lesson is structured but flexible, combining technique, rhythm and songs with creative activities to maintain focus and engagement.
What we can work on:
• first chords and simple songs
• rhythm and strumming patterns
• basic technique and coordination
• listening skills and musical creativity
• playing and singing together
For younger children:
I also offer early music sessions where guitar, rhythm, movement and musical games create a positive and enjoyable first experience with music. These sessions are especially effective for younger learners or children who benefit from a more sensory and dynamic approach.
Lessons take place at my home or nearby (within 15 minutes), or online. Trial sessions available.
