About Nicolas

I'm a composer, sound designer, and guitarist with a passion for storytelling through sound. I hold an MMus in Composition for Film & TV from the University of West London and a degree in Electronic Music Production from Catalyst Berlin. My work spans film, theatre, installation art, and live performance, with projects featured at Festival de Cannes, Camden People’s Theatre, and The Place London. As a performer, I’ve toured across Europe with bands like Les Pleureuses and Solly Brown Stone, blending genres and experimenting with sound in every setting. Whether composing for visuals or performing on stage, I approach music with curiosity, emotion, and a desire to push creative boundaries. I bring that same mindset to teaching, helping students not only play, but explore the guitar as a tool for expression and discovery.

About the lesson

I offer guitar lessons that are not just about technique, but about discovering your own voice through the instrument. Whether you're a total beginner or already comfortable with chords, my lessons are tailored to your level and interests. We’ll cover the fundamentals of playing: rhythm, chords, fingerpicking, tone - while also diving into the creative side: improvisation, alternate tunings, extended techniques, use of objects, effects, and turning the guitar into a powerful sound-making tool. As a composer and sound designer with experience in film, theatre, and experimental music, I bring a cross-disciplinary approach that blends musicality with curiosity.
