About Mila
I began playing guitar with a love for musical storytelling and performance, which led me to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Guitar Performance and Contemporary Music Studies. Over the past 12 years, I have taught students of all ages and skill levels, helping them develop technical skill, expressive ability, and confidence in performing. My teaching approach emphasizes individualized guidance, creativity, and skill development tailored to each learner’s goals.
I structure lessons to balance technical exercises with repertoire exploration, improvisation, and performance practice. Students receive detailed feedback, performance coaching, and practical strategies to enhance both skill and expression. I emphasize musical understanding, creative thinking, and the joy of playing to foster a deep connection with music.
Outside teaching, I perform, compose, and study diverse musical styles, bringing fresh insights into lessons. Witnessing students transform from hesitant learners to confident, expressive musicians is deeply rewarding. My goal is to help students develop technical mastery, personal expression, and a lasting passion for guitar music.

Guitar lessons with me combine technical skill, musicality, and personal expression. Lessons cover chords, scales, fingerstyle technique, strumming patterns, improvisation, soloing, tone shaping, phrasing, and performance skills. Students explore repertoire across genres, learn to interpret songs creatively, and develop a confident and expressive playing style.
Beginners focus on basic chords, hand positioning, simple songs, and rhythm accuracy. Intermediate learners practice complex fingerstyle techniques, scales, improvisation, solo phrasing, and song interpretation. Advanced students refine advanced techniques, stylistic nuance, improvisational skill, performance preparation, and stage presence. Lessons incorporate practice strategies, structured exercises, and personalized guidance to support continuous improvement.
Beyond technical mastery, I encourage students to explore emotional expression, musical storytelling, and creative composition. Students are guided to develop their own musical voice while building confidence in performing for themselves and others. My aim is to inspire lifelong enjoyment of guitar, helping learners express themselves, connect with music deeply, and perform with technical skill and heartfelt artistry.
