About Asha
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Guitar Performance and Contemporary Music, where I specialised in performance techniques, modern arrangement styles, and ensemble playing. Over the past 6 years, I have worked with students of different skill levels, helping them develop strong technical control and musical expression. My experience includes teaching both beginners and advanced learners in structured and personalised formats.
My teaching approach focuses on clarity, patience, and adaptability. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adjust my methods based on individual progress, learning speed, and musical goals. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel confident experimenting and improving at their own pace.
Beyond teaching, I continue to explore different guitar styles, music production techniques, and live performance practices. I regularly engage in musical projects that help me stay connected to real-world performance experience. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is seeing students evolve from basic learners into confident musicians who can perform creatively and independently, expressing their own musical identity with clarity and confidence.

My guitar lessons are designed to help students build strong technical ability while developing creativity, rhythm control, and expressive musical style through structured learning and practical exercises. I focus on chord transitions, strumming techniques, fingerstyle development, rhythm accuracy, improvisation, and tonal control. Each lesson is designed to ensure students not only learn techniques but also understand how to apply them in real musical performance situations.
Beginners start with tuning, basic chords, rhythm counting, and simple strumming patterns to build foundational control and comfort with the instrument. Intermediate learners work on smoother chord transitions, improvisation skills, fingerpicking techniques, and rhythm variations. Advanced students focus on performance-level playing, solo development, expressive phrasing, and stage confidence for live performance situations.
I also guide students on how to build effective practice habits that help them progress independently. My teaching ensures that students gradually develop musical confidence, creativity, and the ability to play in different styles with ease and expression.
