About Hazel
My passion for guitar began through listening to different genres of music and experimenting with rhythm patterns and melodies during my early learning years. This passion led me to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Contemporary Music Performance and Guitar Studies. Over the past 8 years, I have helped students develop strong technical foundations and musical confidence.
I believe music education should be practical, enjoyable, and easy to understand. My teaching style focuses on structured practice, real musical examples, and step-by-step guidance that help students grow naturally. I encourage learners to stay curious and explore different sounds because creativity develops through exploration.
Outside teaching, I enjoy composing music, recording guitar sessions, and exploring various musical styles. Staying connected to music helps me bring fresh ideas into lessons. Teaching guitar is meaningful to me because I enjoy helping students discover their musical identity. My goal is to support every learner in becoming confident and expressive musicians.

My guitar lessons focus on helping students develop strong rhythm control, clean chord transitions, and expressive musical playing through structured and enjoyable practice. I teach strumming patterns, finger placement, chord progressions, scales, timing awareness, improvisation, and melodic phrasing in a calm and supportive environment. Students learn how consistent practice improves coordination, timing, and musical confidence over time. Every lesson is designed to feel simple, motivating, and easy to follow.
Lessons are adapted according to each learner’s level and musical goals. Beginners focus on basic chords, rhythm exercises, posture, and simple songs, while advanced learners work on solo techniques, improvisation, complex rhythms, and performance preparation. I include backing track practice, ear training, and repetition drills regularly because active engagement strengthens musical understanding effectively. Students receive supportive feedback that helps them improve without pressure or confusion.
I aim to create a relaxed learning space where students feel free to explore music at their own pace. Many learners struggle with timing or smooth transitions, so I focus on gradual improvement through patience and clear step-by-step guidance. Over time, students develop stronger rhythm, better coordination, and expressive playing style. Guitar becomes more enjoyable when learners discover their own sound.
