About Dalton
Walking into a rehearsal space with a guitar and a specific vision for a song is how I spent the last 13 years. My 12 years of teaching grew from those blues and rock stages across the Midwest. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Guitar from Berklee College of Music.
I focus on rhythm guitar, strumming patterns, and blues progressions to build your foundation. I also teach reading sheet music, tuning, maintenance, and ear training. Teaching is my favorite part of the week. I keep things direct and simple.

Admitting that I rarely start with scales is a bit of a shock for new students. Your first session begins with a diagnostic skills check to map out where you stand.
I treat the instrument as a compositional tool rather than a performance prop. We build your lesson plan around how you write music. You get my 10.0 out of 10 rating for finding the right groove for your ideas. I draw on my Berklee background to help you break out of pentatonic jail.
