About Makenna
Music existed as my primary reality since early childhood. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance from the Curtis Institute of Music and utilize 13 years of experience to guide students. My instruction centers on building technique without sacrificing the enjoyment found in playing instruments.
I support teens, returning learners, and adults in developing their abilities. My technical approach ensures that rhythm and clarity remain at the forefront. Students consistently gain the control necessary to perform with high confidence after 1 term. I look forward to helping you reach your specific musical objectives.

Inconsistent strumming patterns often derail progress for even dedicated players. This causes frustration.
Correcting these mechanical errors remains the focus of my concept based method. My curriculum prioritizes lead guitar proficiency and precise chord transitions. I integrate electric technique and barre chords into a disciplined framework derived from 13 years of dedicated practice.
These sessions move at a pace that demands focus. You will refine your physical approach to the fretboard through rigorous, detail oriented exercises. I invite you to schedule a free trial session to assess your starting level before we begin your formal course of study. A clear roadmap will guide your future performances.
