About Gene
Over 50 years of experience in the performing arts including recording projects and theoretical studies, six off Broadway musicals, and thousands live performances. Performing solo and with full symphonic productions has placed Gene in a category far beyond those of mortal chord bangers. Performances range from landmark theaters, resorts, country clubs, and smoke filled taverns from Goose Rocks Beach Me. to Fort Zachary Taylor, Key West, Fl. The most notable performance was for President Gerald Ford, Queen Elizabeth II & Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. With influences ranging from Mozart to Zappa, Gene's compositional skills are exceptional. Utilizing the latest digital technology Gene produces music with structural integrity as well as harmonic diversity and color. The combination of his guitar and vocals produce an extraordinary, dynamic, and charismatic performance. Audiences enthusiastically display both amazement and respect for this uniquely talented entertainer. Studio & label owner Dark Horse Productions & Schitty Records A newly released CD titled "Larger Prey" is self-produced, engineered, written, arranged, and all instruments and vocals are performed entirely by Gene. Be ready to work. Serious music theory and guitar/bass instructions. My focus is on instrumental music, although some voice coaching is included. I instruct reading, scale, chord and key studies, music theory, composition, proper fingering.
My students are able to play any style of music they choose-Rock, Blues, Country or Jazz. Classical guitar is a specialized study but is covered. I will travel to you or webcam if out of 12 mile radius, 1 or more hrs a week are available depending on ability, motivation and work ethic. The harder you work the faster you will achieve. Given time and work you will be able to play the guitar well, very well. I compose my lesson plan so NO 3rd party books to buy.
