About Gabriela
Music changed my life by allowing me to travel to so many different countries and experience such unique cultures, while allowing me to stay true to myself and in touch with my own culture. I genuinely love enabling other people in a similar path to my own. My main goal as a teacher is to keep the curiosity for new sounds and self-expression through music alive, and debunk the natural born talent myth. With the appropriate learning program and skills assessment, anyone can learn an instrument through an easier and friendlier approach. Music is rich and a never-ending discovery, but picking up an instrument does not have to be an incredibly hostile and challenging experience. Just like deepening your already existing knowledge does not have to be an overwhelming and exhausting experience.

Hello everyone! I'm Gabi, I have been playing guitar for over 15 years and teaching for 5 years. I have graduated from Starling Academy in Brazil, which is a Berklee equivalent diploma, led by a Berklee alumni.
I have been a session musician for years, played in major festivals (Laneway, SXSW), with extensive repertoire and experience in several different genres, from blues, to brazilian music, to math rock and anything you may need.
I use Berklee's approach to music theory, but adapted to the particular needs that guitar players have.
My lessons are for everyone, from complete beginners that would like help unlocking their instrument, to intermediate and advanced players searching for a new approach to their instrument, or perhaps to develop specific techniques.
For Intermediate students, the focus is towards enabling improvisation skills and better understanding of the fretboard.
For Advanced students, I will help you level up your technique and genre specific demands, chord progressions, voicings and standards.
Average lesson: 30 to 45 minute depending on student needs
Recommended for Advanced musicians: 1 hour
