About Lukas

Hi, I'm Lukas, a guitarist and bassist from Wellington with over 20 years of playing experience.

Music has been a major part of my life since my early teens. Over the years I've performed as both a solo artist and band musician, including opening for Tommy Emmanuel in Wellington and independently selling over 1,000 CDs throughout Europe.

My main passion is fingerstyle guitar, but I also enjoy acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, songwriting and helping others develop their musical skills. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced player looking to improve, I enjoy helping students gain confidence and achieve their musical goals.

I believe learning music should be enjoyable, rewarding and tailored to the individual.

About the lesson

My lessons are tailored to each student's goals, whether you're picking up an instrument for the first time, returning after a break, or looking to develop more advanced techniques. I teach acoustic guitar, electric guitar and bass, with a particular focus on fingerstyle guitar.

I have over 20 years of playing experience and have performed extensively as both a solo artist and band musician. Career highlights include opening for Tommy Emmanuel and independently selling over 1,000 albums throughout Europe.

My teaching style is relaxed, practical and personalised. Rather than relying on rigid exercises alone, I help students learn through the music they enjoy while developing strong fundamentals in technique, rhythm, ear training, music theory and performance skills.

Lessons are suitable for all ages and experience levels, from complete beginners through to experienced players looking to expand their skills and confidence.
