About Abigail

With over 4 years of experience and a Graduate Certificate in Advanced Guitar Studies, I specialise in helping guitarists refine their ear training. Ear training goes beyond theory—it gives you real-world musical power. My lessons cover solo transcription, chord progression recognition, and pitch development. I teach students how to listen actively and translate sound to their instrument. This skill makes improvisation and collaboration much easier. I balance structured exercises with practical music-making. Each session is designed to grow your confidence step by step. Students often realise they can hear details they once missed. I believe in building both skill and enjoyment. Ear training doesn’t just train your ears—it changes how you experience music. My goal is to help you unlock freedom and creativity on the guitar.

About the lesson

My teaching philosophy is that theory makes guitar more fun, not harder. Lessons focus on scales, modes, chord construction, and harmonic analysis. These concepts are always tied back to the fretboard. I show how patterns lead to music you can actually play. We use theory to understand songs and create new ones. Students practise improvisation to bring these skills alive. I support learners aiming for rock solos as well as classical fluency. Both find that theory becomes a bridge to better playing. Confidence grows as theory turns into sound. The aim is to give you tools to improvise, compose, and perform freely. Together, we’ll build a strong and inspiring foundation.
