About Nicolas
I am a character who cannot be called a movie buff or a musician, but I live for both. My secret identity is to be an art director, but at night I live thinking I'm in a movie. I have always cared more about having happy students who feel that they learn something valuable and applicable to their lives and their personal and professional goals, therefore my teaching method is flexible: I am always attentive to the origin of the learner, their need, their experiences and particular skills to articulate everything with the necessary knowledge and build together an action plan with simple exercises that challenge your creativity more and more. Rather than learning to draw or illustrate what we will achieve is to exercise the creative instinct to be able to express ourselves clearly, a well-drawn idea goes beyond the perfection of a shape or a shading technique!
In summary, We will go through the following points (not necessarily in this order):
-What is a drawing?
-What does “know how to draw” means?
-Exercises to release the hand
-Challenge creativity: different paths, different results
-What am I better at and how to use it for my drawings?
-What themes do I want to draw on?
-My illustration project!
[N ] We will work on these general points with support such as small tutorials and exercises and also, why not? Seeing examples of different artists who will leave us very important learnings with their life experiences.
At the end of the classes, surely we will not be artists like Miguel Ángel: P but we will have new knowledge and an important motivation to explore art from pencil drawing, as far as the imagination goes.
