About Jay
I am final year student at Ravensbourne university in Greenwich, London, studying Graphic Design. I have a FdA Degree from a two year Visual Communications course in Newcastle, where I did a mixture of coding, graphics, illustration, branding and advertising.

I find tutorials, walk throughs and step by step guides to my illustration techniques the best way to teach others. They’re simple techniques that can be used in a variety of ways to create personal or commercial illustrations. I usually start with getting students to use your own imagery to reference whilst creating your illustrations, which can be adapted to strong visual designs using photoshop and adobe illustrator and even shareable videos of your work coming together. My background is in digital media and design, therefore my illustrations are always digitised. This way students can learn new techniques to broaden their skill set, especially if you are used to hand drawn and more traditional forms of illustration.
