About Raphael
Throughout my life, I've always loved the film industry and dreamed of making movies. I've tried my hand at making home movies throughout High School but was only discouraged once I saw the results. This didn't change the fact that the world I saw in my head couldn't be put down on the page. Despite all the freedom in writing, I still felt restricted. That's when I decided to produce and direct one of my scripts. I didn't make that decision to do something cool but to prove to myself that I have what it takes. That was a decision that changed my life. After a year of one failed attempt at filming, completely recasting, and trying again, I was left with a product that got feedback as I'd never expected, including getting nominated for a film festival. Since then, I've run sets as the director/producer/writer of crews of up to 35 people, and take a lot of pride in my leadership and ability to complete what needs to be done in a timely and cost-effective manner.
