About Rachel

My students range from beginners to diploma level, with several having achieved notable successes, including acceptance into the National Youth Orchestra, Junior Conservatoires, and university music programmes. I also work as an accompanist, supporting students in both exams and concerts. As a Grade and Diploma examiner for Trinity College London, I draw on my examining experience to guide students in achieving the musical detail and confidence required for successful performance exams.

About the lesson

I graduated from the Royal College of Music with postgraduate diplomas in orchestral studies and advanced performance on the cello. With over 20 years of teaching experience, I warmly welcome students of all abilities—from complete beginners to those preparing for diplomas, auditions, or recitals. I teach cello, piano and music theory from beginner to advanced level. My teaching style is friendly, approachable, and inspiring, supporting students at all stages of their development. I have experience working with young learners as well as adult students. Everyone is welcome. Lesson durations available: 30 minutes 45 minutes 1 hour
