Hi! You can call me Ciel. I started tutoring academic writing when studying English Literature at a women's liberal arts college in the US, a job I fell in love with ever since. I enjoy the clash of ideas that gives birth to a compelling piece of writing, but I also appreciate how the student grows as a thinker in the writing process. In addition to academic essays, I also have an extensive experience in application essay/personal statement consultation. I work mostly as a one-on-one essay consultant for high school and undergraduate students in most disciplines under humanities and social sciences. I can accompany you throughout your journey with any writing assignment, from brainstorming to researching to outlining to developing paragraphs and eventually finalization. I can teach you how to write analytically and argumentatively. If you're up for any writing competitions - John Locke, Harvard International Review, New York Times Editorial, Scholastic, or anything you can name - I'm certainly happy to help you at any stage of the writing process.
I have worked in writing consultation for almost a decade. Many students of mine have gained admission from their dream school or have been shortlisted for the writing competitions they attended under my mentorship.
Typical lengths of lesson is 1 hour, but we can adjust according to your needs.
