About Laia
I am Argentinian and have also lived in Brazil and Puerto Rico. Due to this, I also have experience with the American system, in which I completed AP World History (5/5) and the AP Capstone Program. I also won the Valedictorian award during Middle School.
I have always done well in school, so in 9th grade I decided to become a tutor.
When I moved to Spain, I chose to continue my studies by doing the IB, in which I won the "matrícula de honor"
This year I am enrolled in Medicine at the University of Barcelona (campus Clinic).

I have been a tutor since 9th grade and throughout this time I have realized that the best method depends on the student. That is why I prefer to first listen to the student about what they feel works, doesn't, and the areas they would like to improve.
Personally, I am a very visual person and making diagrams helps me study, but for others, the best way is by summarizing or telling someone else about their agenda. Therefore, my teaching methodology will depend on the student. However, I am prepared to help the student in the best possible way and create a good working environment.
Having recently graduated from the IB program, which allows me to have many tips and recommendations on how to deal with subjects, stress, and everything that the IB represents in the best possible way.
I have a native level of English and Spanish. I also speak Portuguese.
The classes I took at the IB were Bio HL, Chemistry HL, English Lang & Lit HL, Spanish Lit SL, Psychology SL, and Math AA SL.

Muy buena explicando. La conocí a través de unos conocidos. Me ayudo mucho a poder entender los conceptos básicos y los detalles. Además, me ayudo mucho en la planificación y organización de mis estudios y de mis trabajos escritos.
Laia me dio clases de mates durante los dos años del IB. Me ayudó a entender los conceptos que en clase no me quedaban claros, y diferentes maneras de hacer los ejercicios para que los puediese hacer con más facilidad.
