About Tamer
Teaching, for me, is a serious responsibility. When a student places their trust in a tutor, they are often sharing uncertainty as much as ambition, and I take that trust seriously. My work is shaped by years of professional practice and sustained engagement with advanced study, but also by the understanding that every student arrives with a different background, pace, and set of goals. I aim to provide lessons that are clear, well-prepared, and grounded in practical experience. I value careful listening, thoughtful structure, and steady progress over quick results. My goal is to create a working environment where students feel supported, challenged, and respected, and where learning is approached with focus, patience, and professionalism.

I approach tutoring as a shared working process rather than a one-directional transfer of information. I start by paying close attention to how a student thinks, speaks, and reacts. Once I understand where a student is coming from, I adjust my language, pacing, and priorities so the material meets them where they are.
I focus on identifying what is actually holding a student back, whether that is a technical habit, a conceptual misunderstanding, or simple overload. From there, we work on one problem at a time. I demonstrate frequently, ask questions that require active thinking, and return often to fundamentals. I encourage discipline and self actualization. I'd like you to have an idea regarding the way you're playing. Whether it's a good or a bad idea is not relevant. The important thing is that you've done the thinking, we can work on the rest together.
Lessons begin with a brief check-in and a clear sense of what needs attention that day. We then work on specific material, often slowly, making sure the student understands not just what to do, but why they are doing it. Technique and expression are always addressed together rather than as separate subjects.
I have over 20 years of instrument playing and over 10 years of teaching experience. I have been around the block a couple of times, seen some things and made some mistakes. What sets me apart is that I learned something from each of my students and everyone I've ever worked with. I can give you exactly what you need.
