About Rose
I earned my Bachelor's of Music in Music Education from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, and my Initial Teaching License from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
I've taught middle school chorus in Natick Public Schools, lessons on violin, piano, guitar, and ukulele in Norwood and Roxbury, MA, MusicTogether class for babies and caregivers in Charleston, MA, classes in math, English, chorus, and cello in Mattapan, MA, lessons on viola, voice, and piano in New City, NY, and lessons on production, guitar, ukulele, violin, piano, and voice as well as creating and teaching a 1-1 Early Childhood Education program for students ages 3 to 5 in Nyack, NY.
I switched gears and started performing on cruise ships as a dueling pianos act with my girlfriend and musical partner. We performed 18 sets/week for large chunks of the last two years, taking requests every night, and it took us all around the world. I'm originally from San Antonio, TX, and I'm so excited to be back and accepting new students!

I love music and teaching SO much! I've taught total beginners, experienced musicians, from three-year-olds to adults, in public school ensembles, in private lessons, and on voice, many instruments, production, and music theory. I studied music education at Berklee College of Music, learning about many pedagogies including Dalcroze's Eurhythmics & Gordon's Music Learning Theory, and slip some tried and true exercises and methods into lessons to sequentially build musical skills while keeping the actual musical repertoire we do together in lessons flexible to students' interests, empowering students to pursue music they are most passionate about. I can't wait to get started with you!
