About Tyler
My credits as a tutor and musician trace back to high school. I started playing drums when I was 3 years old then transitioned to the bass guitar. In high school, I was in the jazz band which is where I began playing the bass guitar. I started tutoring individuals around the end of high school as well as in college. I’ve tutored single musicians all the way up to live bands. Memphis Jazz Workshop is where I did most of my tutoring for younger and older musicians.

My lessons are aimed fully towards the student and what they want to learn. I also teach fundamentals of music and instrumentation. In my lesson, I distinctly allow freedom within the subject of what the student wants to learn and progress in while maintaining organization within the lesson. In addition, fundamental subjects they need to know in correspondence with what they want to learn will be taught.
