About Ben
Hi! My name is Ben and I am a professional musician based in London. I thoroughly enjoy teaching, helping people to achieve their goals and inspiring the next generation of musicians.
I have a wealth of experience performing professionally across the UK and Europe, either with my own bands or working as a sideman for various bands and artists such as the Hot 8 Brass Band, Soweto Kinch, London Jazz Orchestra, NYJO, and Ashley Allen.
Professional highlights include performing at Ronnie Scott's, the Royal Albert Hall, and the Barbican.
I pride myself on my communication skills and professionalism, as well as a commitment to a student-first approach to teaching.

Lessons are tailored to you focusing on your goals, whether you want to enhance your knowledge on subjects such as music theory, composition, and arranging.
I have taught private lessons for 4+ years encompassing a variety of subjects (inc. saxophone, clarinet, music theory, composition, and arranging).
I have also worked as a freelance composer and arranger since 2022, and have worked on many creative projects in that time. I have been lucky enough to study with great composers and arrangers such as Mike Gibbs and Ed Puddick.
I also work for M:Tech Education Services, providing composition/music tech classes for primary school-aged children.

BA (Hons) Jazz Performance, The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (2022)
Advanced Diploma in Audio Production and Sound Engineering, Abbey Road Institute (2027)
