About Andres
I have 4 years of tutoring experience in music in the form of 4 years as an undergraduate university tutor. I also have extensive experience in composing, songwriting, singing, and conducting. I have a fierce passion for teaching and mentoring, and I am most proud of my empathetic and human-focused approach to teaching. I have volunteered my time at arts centers, elderly homes, and summer programs to teach music to people from all walks of life. Thus, I have a track record of being patient, supportive, and dynamic in my teaching.

My lessons work well for beginners. Furthermore, my teaching approach is highly individualized to the learning style and musical desires of students. At the heart of my teaching is a commitment to a patient and warm learning atmosphere. Learning something new, especially an art like Music, can feel daunting, humiliating, or demoralizing. Thus, learning happens best when students learn free of judgment or expectation. Therefore, in my classes, the only certainty is that we will all make mistakes. Music lessons will include singing, "body and desk" percussion, listening, and reading or referring to literature and diagrams.
