About Andrew
As a graduate student attending the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, I can provide recommendation letters that speak to the quality of training and professional relationships I've developed as a Doctorate of Musical Arts (DMA). I love each student that has decided that music deserves an opportunity for their personal exploration! Along with my degree experience as both private and classroom instructor, I have experience as an organist and electronic keyboardist - exploring the skills of jazz, gospel, and improvisation for a variety of settings. In my teaching style and goal supervision, I'm adamant to create a safe space for each student to explore music on their level. I will sponsor an incentive to grow as far as possible in the time we have together, but I always respect the needs of the student based on the context of their livelihood. I look forward to our potential collaboration!

I'm an experienced teacher for solo or group piano lessons. Teaching in-person or online is convenient for my schedule. Lessons will ideally occur once a week. For piano students, I will advise the Faber Method series. For music history/theory students, we will approach applicable literature on context of prior studies and completed curriculum.
Piano students will track their lesson assignments with a personal notebook, which will catalogue practice time per week. I can offer a recital series for students who wish to gain performance exposure to the public. I am proactive about helping each musician discover the art within themselves! While my tutoring style is careful to maintain accountability through a personal track of development, my passion is to provide each music student with the tools necessary to complete their desired objectives and share their art with the world.
Although I'm primarily a private keyboard instructor for the Lincoln/Omaha area, I am happy to discuss piano and/or music history/theory teaching for any university student or class environment.
