About Gwen
I graduated from History of Art at the University of Leeds and later earned my Master's degree in Landscape Architecture. I also have my own art practice as a landscape painter. I hope to help anyone interested in Art History to improve their understanding of such a fascinating field of study. The subject has given me an enormous appreciation of visual aesthetics, cultural heritage and the political and social contexts that have shaped artists and their work.

We can discuss specific areas you are most interested in exploring and tailor our lessons to fit appropriately. My interest mostly lies in British, Nordic and Western European painting but I am more than happy to teach on a variety of topics. I will use a variety of texts and resources to aid my teaching and be mindful to critically analyse the historical discourses on the subject. I aim to make my lessons engaging, fun, well-prepared and thoroughly researched.
