Teaching Techniques and Methodology I begin by assessing the learner’s current level and needs—whether for coursework, research, or professional development. Lessons are structured around real-world datasets and projects, allowing students to engage with SPSS in a meaningful context. I focus on step-by-step demonstrations, followed by guided practice and problem-solving. I encourage questions throughout the session and use scaffolded learning, gradually increasing the complexity of tasks. I also integrate key statistical concepts where needed to strengthen interpretation skills (e.g., what a p-value means, or how to interpret regression outputs). Students are given take-home tasks or datasets to practice independently, with feedback in the following session. Typical Length of a Lesson Lessons usually last 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the learner's preference and goals. For intensive exam prep or dissertation support, longer sessions or weekly blocks can be arranged. Qualifications and Experience I hold a PhD in Geography and Environmental Science, with extensive experience in quantitative research. I have over 5 years of experience using SPSS for academic research and over 3 years of experience tutoring students, including undergraduates, postgraduates, and professionals. I have supported students in fields ranging from social sciences and education to public health and business.
