About Jesse

I'm a graduate in data science from the University of Maryland and a data scientist at a leading consumer data company. Previously, I've worked as a data scientist at the Emerson Collective, the CRA, and more companies pioneering more equitable technology.

I am someone who deeply cares about making sure any of my students feel supported and excited to learn. I do this by first gauging how you learn best and assessing your experience with coding and then creating a tailored learning plan that we approve together. Each tailored learning plan heavily focuses on examples and thorough walk-throughs, as well as projects for more challenging material.

I am available for online classes and can also potentially do in-person classes if within a reasonable radius.

About the lesson

Have you ever felt like coding was just for people who were super good at math? Like you needed to memorize every part of a computer language in order to succeed? That's never been how I learned well, so I wanted to create a program that shows students how creative they can be through code.

With me, you'll not only receive structured lesson plans and coding content on a weekly basis - you'll receive hands-on tutoring with customized examples that build on your learning thus far. All while learning from someone who believes in you and will adapt her teaching to the way you learn.

A little about me: I graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in data science, and I now work for a leading consumer data company. I am dedicated to your success and excited to see you shine.

My daughter ACED her Python and introductory computer science course because of Jesse she is so happy and we are very proud of her. Ms. Jesse makes her students feel confident and very excited to learn to code and she never moves on to a new concept before Elisa was very ok with the last material they went over. Elisa also really knows how to code now and actually wants to learn even more computing so we are very thankful for Ms. Jesse.

I have a sliding scale of $25-$35 an hour. For most students, we have 3 lessons per week. First, a review of the content. Second, a lesson filled with examples of the content. Third, a lesson where we delve into how the content is used in practice. So, overall students tend to pay $75-$105 per week.
