About James

As a performer I have performed in various venues such as the Cavern Club Liverpool, Birmingham Town Hall and Symphony Hall and Cheltenham Town Hall. I work full time as a freelance musician doing a variety of different work from performing across the country to teaching music at various different levels. As a guitar teacher I see how my lessons can help people new to music develop a strong connection to it and a deep love for it like I have.

About the lesson

I can teach beginners to much more experienced players in a variety of genres and styles and I can teach all ages and have a DBS check. I teach 1 hour lessons or half an hour lessons depending on what best fits the student. Whilst teaching the guitar I make sure my lessons also always keep the fundamentals of music. This includes teaching the scales that fit the songs we are learning and learning where the chords come from for a song.
