About Kaitlin
I am a 21 year old graduate and during my time learning Japanese, I found myself loving every aspect of the language. Often I would tutor fellow classmates on request of my teacher just to help everyone stay on the same page for our exams. This continued into university, where I also tutored classmates as well as a student just beginning to learn Japanese for GCSE.
I have walked one student through the exam (only a few lessons), and am currently tutoring a student who has come from beginner to GCSE level with me.
I have always enjoyed working with people to aid in their understanding of a subject, so being a tutor seemed like the perfect job for me. Currently, it is one of my main passions, and I would like to continue it in the future.
My only disclaimer is that I am a full time wheelchair user so I'm able to travel for tutoring.

I make new lessons for every student and every session to tailor teaching to the individual. I will provide resources that I have made and are available via textbook. If you wish to work using the GCSE syllabus, IB, JLPT etc. I'm willing to follow anything the student is comfortable with.
My experience is with tutoring based on the GCSE syllabus, which I have 3 years of experience with. I have studied Japanese for 9 years, doing the GCSE A-Level and then a degree in it.
Sessions are 60 minutes long with 15 for recap and 45 for new material and practice. I setextra work for outside of lessons if this is preferred by the student. I tutor those 13 and older up until GCSE Level or to half way through JLPT N3.
If you wish to go beyond this level, or begin at a higher level, I am willing to do so. However, we will need to talk about it beforehand to do so.
