About Lloyd
I have studied trumpet extensively for 10 years now, having studied my bachelor degree at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland before going on to study Masters at the Royal Academy of Music Aarhus, Denmark with Professor Kristian Steenstrup. I also take extensive lessons with Professor Reinhold Friedrich at Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe in Germany. As well as teaching, I also perform regularly with Orchestra’s in Scotland, Denmark and Germany.

I teach trumpet with emphasis on trumpet pedagogy. I have a masters degree in trumpet performance with emphasis on trumpet pedagogy and teaching. This means I studied the physiological and neurological aspects of playing the trumpet and also how to incorporate this into lessons with students. Lessons will feature specific instructions, tasks goals taken from current methodology and literature with elements of scientific principles. All in all, this leads to players of varying capabilities improving their playing instantly.
I suggest that beginners start with 30 minute lessons and then more advanced players can, to their discrepancies, receive longer lessons of 45 minutes or 1 hour.
