About Lacie
I have strong leadership and communication skills with a strive for value work. My experience as a teaching assistant helped me gain strengthened knowledge in mentoring and investing in the success of students with a great ability to lead group sessions and develop individualized plans catered to the students’ needs and goals. As a lead in customer service, I was able to gain a strong ability to delegate tasks and manage busy workloads. I credit a great deal of success to my teachers and managers who modeled an inclusive and welcoming nature that always pushed me to do my best.

My desire for becoming a tutor grew through my experience as a substitute teacher. My role focused on the education and guidance of students at the high school level by delivering high-quality lesson plans and developing positive classroom management techniques. This position helped me identify my passion for teaching and guiding students to reach their best success. As I grew to love this kind of work, it inspired me to pursue a position in which I could apply those same values. Throughout the past year as a master’s student, I was able to gain advanced experience with the use of Excel, PowerPoint, spreadsheet, and many other Google software platforms that have helped me in my success of online learning and teaching. Much of this experience is credit to my graduate teachers who exemplified the importance of inclusive leadership through remote delivery. Like my teachers, I strive for inclusion and leading to the best of my ability and believe my diverse background will be a great contribution to the successful completion of the goal.
