About Inez
I am an aspiring concert soloist who is deeply passionate about the cello! I am 18 years old, and I have been playing since I was 6, starting at Colourstrings music school then moving to RCMJD and have travelled abroad to many different master-courses and concerts and my love for music has grown exponentially in the last few years. I believe that teaching will be a lovely way to share that joy I feel about music! I have learnt a wide range of repertoire, such as concertos like Elgar, Haydn C and D, Schumann and Brahms double, sonatas like Schubert arpeggione and Brahms F, Popper and Duport studies, many modern pieces etc. I also have had extensive experience playing chamber music especially during my years at RCMJD, and have participated in NYSO, NYO, Kronberg cello master course, and won first prize at the international Polstjärnepriset competition Nordic edition and Hattori foundation award 23/24 and 25/26.

My main goal would be trying to inspire love for playing and really enjoying the music :) I would additionally focus on building a solid technique, for example intonation, left hand clarity, shifting, and bow technique, as well as encouraging a sensitive ear and understanding musicality, character and expression!
I haven’t taught one to one before but I have had many great masterclasses in which I have gained inspiration for teaching and have on many occasions given feedback to other friends and musicians in workshops and studio classes.
A typical lesson would range from 30 minutes to 1 hour and a half depending on the level! The lessons would be well suited for beginner to intermediate level, age less important but maybe most likely around under 15, but more specifically someone who has already learnt the basics on how to play the instrument but wants to work more on repertoire and technique.
