About Brian
Hello! I am a graduate from Johns Hopkins University. I studied Neuroscience and spent 3.5 of my undergraduate years working as a Teaching Assistant in numerous courses. Physics was my favorite subject in high school and college, and it was my favorite subject to TA for as well. I will be in New York to start medical school this summer, but I hope to share my love for physics with students all over.

I specialize in group tutoring with 2-3 students, but I am open to one-on-one sessions. I believe that active, collaborative learning works best for developing problem solving skills and retaining information. Lesson plans are flexible, but I like to work through problems that students find difficult on their assignments, exams, or sample problems that I provide while reviewing key concepts along the way. My lessons are geared towards students who are taking algebra-heavy high school and college level physics courses, preparing for AP Physics 1/2 exams, or preparing for the MCAT chemistry/physics section.

Brian was my TA for physics I & II at JHU! My friends and I spent countless hours on Brian’s office hours, as he was the only TA in our 250 person lecture who was able to explain physics in a way we could comprehend and learn from. He was extremely flexible, accommodating, and never gave up on an explanation until he was sure we all understood.
Brian was my TA for Physics at Johns Hopkins. A few peers and I would regularly show up at Brian's office hours for guidance, and would always leave with a deeper understanding of each topic. Brian would patiently address each question, but also dig deeper to ensure that each of us had the best grasp of the question/topic as possible on our problem sets. Particularly remarkable was that Brian would be able to help each individual in our group, regardless of what level of understanding each one had at the start of the session. I credit a lot of my success in the course to him! Thanks Brian :)
Brian did well in every subjects in high school and college, including but not limited to physics. Having known him for many years, I strongly endorse him. Brian is patient and can explain materials really well. He is super hardworking and would make a great physics tutor!
Brian is amazing! He provides individualized and incremental learning for my high schooler. Despite being busy as a medical student, Brian will always answer our child’s questions promptly, even outside of lesson time. He has helped our child go from a C in physics to an A and score 800 on the SAT subject exams. Brian is a truly helpful and resourceful teacher that makes great relationships with his students. Please let him help your child!
When I was taking physics, Brian was a great teacher! He explains concepts incredibly clearly, and he was always accepting of feedback regarding his teaching. I felt he searched for easier ways to explain difficult concepts, and he tailored his teaching and explanations to each student well to ensure that everyone was able to understand. I never left an office hours feeling confused with him!
As someone who has been friends with Brian for over a decade, I know firsthand how much of a hard worker he is. Brian does his best to ensure even the most complex topic is easily digestible. Combined with his strong background in STEM, this quality makes Brian extremely qualified to be an excellent mentor. Brian truly cares about the success of his students and always goes the extra mile to tailor lesson plans to their needs.
