About Vera
An internationally acclaimed mezzo-soprano, eclectic and recipient of numerous awards, she has dedicated her life to lyrical singing as well as to other styles, ranging from French melody to Argentine tango. She has performed works from Mozart to Piazzolla and has an extensive discography available on digital platforms. Recognized for her interpretive power and musicianship, she has sung on the finest stages and continues her career between Europe and America. She divides her time between Buenos Aires and Paris. Her masterclasses in lyrical art have always been a success due to the empathy she shows towards her students and her vast knowledge of the lyrical repertoire. She has collaborated with renowned artists and is a leading interpreter in the French repertoire.

Hello! I would like to share my approach to teaching lyrical art, a form of expression that uniquely combines poetry and music. As a specialist in the French and Italian repertoire, my goal is for the student not only to understand the theory behind lyrics but also to develop their own voice and style. We will start by exploring the history of lyrical art, analyzing different genres and styles that have influenced its evolution, with a particular focus on French or/and Italian works, opera, melody. This will help us understand the roots of this form of expression. Then, we will move on to practice, where the student will have the opportunity to experiment with vocalizations, learning about musicality, rhyme, diction, expression, and the emotions that can be conveyed through words. Additionally, we will encourage active listening of songs and poems, breaking down their elements to understand how artists connect with their audience. We will also include creative exercises to stimulate inspiration and allow the student to experiment with different themes and styles and eventually choose the right “repertoire” for his voice. My approach is personalized, adapting lessons to the interests and needs of the student, and creating a trusting environment where they feel comfortable expressing themselves. I am excited about the opportunity to work together and explore the fascinating world of lyrical art, especially through the lens of French, Italian and repertoire.
