About Sandro
Hi, I’m Sandro, graduate from BIMM University, Dublin with a degree in Songwriting and Guitar. I have been passionate about playing guitar for over 10 years. I started playing acoustic and Spanish guitar under a flamenco guitar tutor. From 2018 onwards I studied under my Gambian musical teacher. He taught me the melodies and rhythms in multiple West African musical styles. Which hold the key to most of modern music’s harmony, melody and rhythm. This has allowed me to become a versatile player in many styles and genres. My wish is to impart these teachings onto you with styles ranging from Malian traditional song to BritPop melodies of the 90s.
I am also fluent in English, French and Spanish.

My lessons are 1 hour long and for all ages and experience levels. For beginners we will get an understanding of what you enjoy and what you want to achieve and from there I'll go over the basic open chords and some motor skill exercises that are fun and musical. Then progressively introduce more technical knowledge and you can learn songs you love and even start composing your own! For more advanced players we will focus on improvisation and exercises to help you become a versatile player on both acoustic and electric guitar, teaching finger picking, plectrum picking and tuning ideas to bring your guitar playing to the next level. This will include focusing on specific genres and styles using analysis and harmonic deconstruction to understand a playing style to then add it to your arsenal of skills. The most important lesson will be to be able to feel free playing in any genre as you progress as a player. I can also help players craft your own music if you want to do so.
